“Happy 175th Birthday, Corsicana!” Art Contest Guidelines
The contest will be judged in three divisions:
Elementary School
Middle School
High School
Winners will be selected in each division with Cash being awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and ribbons for Honorable Mention.
All dimensional and media forms of artwork are acceptable. Two-dimensional entries shall be no larger than 20” x 24”.
Judging will be based upon creativity and originality as well as design (composition, balance, unity, proportion) and skill in executing the medium. Judges will also consider relevance to the theme, “Celebration of Our History, Heritage and Future of Navarro County”
All artworks must be matted and ready to hang.
Each entry must have a clearly printed 3” x 5” card attached to the back. The following shall be printed on the card: student’s name, telephone number, school, teacher’s name, and division entered.

Applicants are solely responsible for the delivery and return of contest entries.
Entries will be accepted until Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Warehouse Gallery located at 119 West 6th Avenue. We will have the exhibit ready for display by April 24th. The exhibit will be a part of the annual Derrick Days celebration. The announcement of winner will be determined the week of April 24th and will be given to your art teachers for presentations at school award days.
