About Trout Fishing in America
Trout Fishing in America is the long-standing musical partnership of Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet. The name taken from a Richard Brautigan novel, seems almost as incongruent and intriguing as a picture of this musical duo - Ezra Idlet (guitar) stands six feet nine inches and Keith Grimwood (bass), five feet five and one half inches. What is more intriguing is the musical career these two have carved out in three decades of writing, recording and performing together.

Trout Fishing in America can look back at a body of work that is impressive and know they are just hitting their stride. On the heels of their fourth Grammy nomination Big Round World, and the release of a children’s book/cd My Name is Chicken Joe, it is no wonder that Trout Fishing in America sees the future as the brightest part of their successful career.

About Ahn Trio
Born in Seoul, Korea and educated at the Juilliard in New York City, the members of the Ahn Trio, (cellist Maria, pianist Lucia, and violinist Angella), are constantly redefining the art and architecture of chamber music. Breathing new life into the standard piano-trio literature with commissioned works, the Ahn Trio brings a new energy and excitement to the chamber music world.

The trio has been touring successfully for over ten years and have six albums to date. An MTV appearance on Bryan Adams’ “Unplugged” led to the development of the “Ahn- Plugged” and “Groovebox” albums (EMI), which embodies the excitement and energy of the Ahn Trio.

Maria, Lucia and Angella thrive on dissolving the barriers between art forms. They have fused their work with that of dancers, pop singers, DJ’s, painters, installation artists, photographers, lighting designers, ecologists, and even kite makers.

About Patrick Regan
With 30 years of professional piping under his kilt, Patrick draws from his seemingly limitless repertoire to captivate audiences from first-time listeners to those well-versed in the art of bagpiping.

Attired in full regalia, Patrick transports his audiences from concert hall or classroom to the highlands of wild, wonderful Scotland in performances that range from ceremonial occasions and formal recitals to country fairs and folk festivals.

As an entertainer, Patrick combines quick Irish wit, dry English humor, well-grounded knowledge of British history and information about the bagpipe with musical selections specifically for each presentation. The moment he takes the stage, an affinity begins to develop between artist and audience. Educator’s and parents particularly appreciate Patrick’s natural rapport with children, and his ability to “change gears” to fit the age and educational level of his audience.

From “Amazing Grace” and “Scotland the Brave” to “This Old Man” and “The Yellow Rose of Texas”, Patrick’s musical versatility and virtuosity combined with his showmanship and genuine love of performing are guaranteed to bring a smile to the face of even the most serious Scotsman.

About Shana Banana
What happens when you get a Master’s degree in Oceanography? You become a national children’s entertainer, of course! After working and teaching (and playing lots of music) on a marine research vessel, Shana Smith decided to take a leap of faith and formalize her creative talents in singing and songwriting. Shana discovered and developed her incredible joy of writing songs for children first as a touring folk musician when children were in the audience, and then on the grounds of her mother’s preschool. Over the years, she became nationally known as “Shana Banana” and earned a reputation as one of today’s top children’s entertainers, with a voice that still delves into blues, jazz, and folk as well.

Shana Banana has earned many prestigious awards along the way, including: two first-round Grammy nominations, Parents’ Choice, iParenting, NAPPA, Kids’ First Coalition for Quality Children’s Media, and “Best Children’s Song In the Country” by the Just Plain Folks organization for her most requested song: I Want to be a Dinosaur. She has performed at the White House, Chicago’s Lincoln Park, the Houston Children’s Museum, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Seattle’s Whirligig, the Florida Folk Festival, Merlefest (in honor of Merle Watson), and many more. Shana Banana continues to develop a variety of live themed shows, CD’s, DVD’s, books, study guides, and workshops for teachers, parents, and of course, kids! She also continues her efforts with children’s hospitals and school outreach programs to assist in her long-term mission of making a positive difference in the lives of children, motivating and cheering them as they grow.

About Rhythmic Circus
Rhythmic Circus has quickly risen from an underground percussive-dance phenomenon to an innovative live performance company known for transforming their tap shoes into instruments of rhythm. The Minneapolis Star Tribune put it well when they called the dance troupe “Flat out amazing!”

The company’s repute goes well beyond the sum of the dancers’ talents; themed pieces include costume changes and musical segues highlighting the funky styling of a sevenpiece band. The combined and highly integrated talents of the dancers and musicians alike have built a reputation for leaving audiences on their feet and dancing in the aisles!
