www.qhart.com
Qiang (pronounced Chong) comes from China. His interest in art was developed at an early age, and was strongly influenced by his uncle, a professional painter and art educator. Qiang has studied basic drawing and painting skills under his uncle's guidance and won multiple awardsin school art shows.
After immigrating to America, Qiang began a career in science and technology but continued to be active in local art communities. To further develop his artistic skills, Qiang has studied with well-known artists like Miles Mathis, Scott Burdick, David Leffel, and Sherrie McGraw.
Qiang is most inspired by paintings of late 19th century artist such as John Singer Sargent, Nicolai Fechin, William Bouguereau, and Lawrence Alma- Tadema.
Qiang’s paintings are most often still life, portraiture, and figurative. His paintings show remarkable accuracy under lush brush strokes.
Qiang is a signature member of the Oil Painters of America. His paintings have shown at the 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th and 19th OPA National Juried Exhibitions.
